There were a number of shows in NSW. Below you will find details of New South Wales' main record shows and information about their organizers.

At First Sight Record Fair and Concert
On Saturday 20 July, Carriageworks will transform into a musical utopia bringing together the country’s most exciting artists and DJs while hosting a record fair comprised of Sydney’s best independent record stores, labels and private dealers. At First Sight is a day dedicated to anyone that buys vinyl and loves live music.

Show Time: 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Admission Fee: $35.00.

Byron Bay Record Fair
The Byron Bay Record Fair was timed this year to coincide with the Splendour in the Grass Festival. The event runs from Friday to Monday and is open every day. The venue is Ewingsdale Hall just off Ewingsdale rd near the Pacific highway (Byron Exit). Just follow the signs.

Show Time: 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Admission Fee: FREE.

Canberra Record Fair
The bi-annual Canberra Record Fair is held in Dickson, Caanberra, Australia's capital. A spectacular place for all music enthusiasts to expand their knowledge and their personal collections. It doesn't matter if you are in search for classic vinyl or last years CD, the collection and choices are unparalleled.

Show Time: 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Admission Fee: FREE.

Erskineville Record Fair
Sprawling out over THREE licensed venues on Erskineville Road and incorporating The Rose of Australia, The Hive bar and The Erskineville Hotel, serving beer, refreshments along-side thousands of records for sale only a few feet away! DJ's are in attendace throughout the day, spinning cool discs. Cafe's and carry out shops are all within the venue area. A fun day of record hunting.

Show Time: 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Admission Fee: FREE. Early Bird Admission Fee: $5.00 (check times).

Glenbrook Record and CD Sale
Situated in Sydney's lower Blue Mountains. Over 40,000 items are for sale with bargains ansd collectables and prices ranging from $2 and up. There are 5 sales a year with stock changing every fair. The fair is organised by Jon Ordon from Revolve Records in Erskineville, one of Sydney's best and oldest record shops with well over 20 years of retail experience. Turnover and fresh stock is Jon's motto. The fair is a 5 minute walk from Glenbrook train station and is located in Glenbrook Community Hall on the corner of Great Western Highway and Ross Street. Glenbrook is a lovely village with a great atmosphere with great eating places also. Glenbrook is the gateway to the Blue Mountains.

Show Time: 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. Admission Fee: FREE.

Glebe Record Fair
The Glebe Record Fair is the pre-eminent Australian Vinyl music fair held twice a year in the hip inner city suburb of Glebe. Close by to the bustling Glebe Markets it has quickly become an institution amongst record lovers and music enthusiasts across Australia. With over 100 stalls including representatives from some of Australia's leading independent Record stores this is an event not to be missed. 1000's of records from all genres including Punk, Jazz, Newwave, Prog, Psyche, Hard Rock, Punk, dance and everything in between as well as CD's books and music memorabilia. This is an important and vibrant part of Sydney's underground music retail that is well worth supporting.

Show Time: 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Admission Fee: $3.00. Eearlybird Admission Fee: $6.00, from 9:00am to 10:00am.

Newcastle Record & CD Fair
The Newcastle Record and CD Fair, now into its 6th year, take place the first Sunday of May and November each year. Previous fairs have attracted around 300 – 400 people through the door. The fair attracts stallholders from as far away as Melbourne - Blue Mountains - Sydney, as well as local traders. You will find thousands of rare and collectable vinyl records plus CDs and memorobilia.

Show Time: 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Admission Fee: $1.00.

Brisbane (Collectomania) Record Fair
One of two record fairs in Brisbane this one is organized by Egg Records. An enthusistic crowd with a variety of vinyl to coose from the biggest Vinyl Fair in Queensland, with over 50 record dealers.

The show has a listing on Egg Records web site so that you can check on the upcoming dates and for seller and table information please contact Rick on (07) 93221 3666. To register your interest in joining the Fair as a crate seller please email the show at vinylfair@qm.qld.gov.au.

Brisbane Northside Record Fair
The second of two record fairs in Brisbane and has over 10,000 LP's, 45's and CD's as well as turntables and other goodies.

Eagleby Festival Record & CD Fair
Promoted as having over 30,000 Lp's, CD's and 45 records this show caters to all genres and most vinyl items are only $1.00 each, Nothing is said to be high priced so iots got to be worth a look.

Tugun Record Fair - Gold Coast
This compact show is a fundraiser for "The Kids In Need Foundation", so combining charity with vinyl is a great cause. For its size it is a well attended show that is very popular with its record collecting fans. The show is also sponsored by Butterbeats of Davenport St, Southport, QLD.

Southern Australia Record FairsReturn to Text Start

Arkaba (Adelaide) Record & CD Sale
This is a bi-annual two day event, which usually takes place in March and November each year. Its not a record fair as such, but instead features two major east coast secondhand music sellers - Revolve Records (Sydney) and The Vinyl Junkie (Byron Bay) - bringing a huge quantity of records, CDs and DVD's (featuring every imaginable style of music) to Adelaide for local buyers to enjoy.

Show Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm. Admission Fee: FREE. Early Bird Admission Fee: $5.00, Saturday from 8:00am.

Music Palooza Record, CD & DVD Sale
This is the biggest secondhand music event in Adelaide, for which some of Australia's biggest music sellers made a special journey to participate. As the most prestigious secondhand music sale in South Australia.

The October record fairs are held in conjunction with the Semaphore Music Festival, which has been held annually since 2005 on the October Labour Day Long Weekend. Its is a four day event fashioned on music festivals like the Katherine Music Muster and Tamworth and details can be found on the web at www.semaphoremusicfestival.com or call Contact Debra Thorsen on (04) 0107 6560. There are some adission costs to see certain bands.
Attracting over 50 interstate & local sellers with 110 tables of stockall available tables are usually hired by traders, so late bookings can result in disappointment. Semaphore Record Fair
This event typically features 30 local traders with 50+ tables of stock for sale, including records, CDs, music books & magazines, DVDs, memorabilia and more, both new & secondhand.

The October record fairs are held in conjunction with the Semaphore Music Festival, which has been held annually since 2005 on the October Labour Day Long Weekend. Box Hill Record, Comic & Card Fair
Box Hill Fair is the new name of Camberwell Fair, Australia’s longest running fair! Same organizers, same people, same great fair… just a new location! Running for over 22 years and with over one million people through the doors, the Box Hill Fair is a favorite of all collectors of CD’s, Records, Comics & Cards, and claims to be Australia's oldest Record Fair.

Crate Diggers Record Fair
Held every couple of months, you’ll find stallholders ranging from serious collectors, shops, people from bands and others just selling their personal collections. Most musical styles are catered for, expect to find indie, punk, garage, soul, 50's/60's, rock & pop, psych, northern soul, doo wop, soundtracks, krautrock, hip hop, funk, electro, disco, boogie, latin, jazz, rocksteady, rockabilly … our stallholders cover all styles and genres. The event often runs in conjunction with the Hello Sailor Vintage Fair.

Essendon Record & CD Fair
The Essendon Record and CD Fair is the best record fair in Victoria. It is well run, friendly and has a good turn-over of stall holders, WITH 50,000 records, CD's and Books.

Show Times are between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm with and entrance fee of $4.00 with FREE parking and on site catering.

Kew Record Fair
There are sellers who’ll be specializing in Dance, inc. Perth Record Fair & Rock-n-Roll Collectors Club
The Rock and Roll Record Collectors Club of Western Australia pioneered the very successful overseas concept of record fairs, holding our first one in May 1988 at the Mt. Lawley Tennis Club. Since then the club has held two fairs each year and they have proved very successful. Although they are generally referred to as "Record Fairs" in reality they offer the lover of recorded music all manner of items for sale, not only records and CD's, but clothing, posters, programmes and anything else related to the retail side of the music industry.
